Siemens has been supplying Sinamics S120 as a versatile, high-performance, modular system for high-end applications in machine and plant construction.Today’s Sinamics S120 drive system, available in different frame sizes, is characterized by easy configuration, a high dynamic response and high precision. This results in shorter project times and higher clock rates for maximum productivity. Based on a comprehensive set of integrated safety functions, powerful safety concepts compatible with standards can be implemented with minimal outlay. Thanks to easy operability and maintenance, life-cycle costs can be reduced and availability enhanced. The modular drive system is implemented in numerous sectors in single and multi-axis applications. Overall, drive units are available in all the different formats for drive outputs ranging from 0.12 to 4500 kW.
